    Nov 3, 2009:
    Things have been very busy lately.  Paul has been working 70hr weeks and Tami is kept running with the four kids.  And of course colds/flu are going around. :-(

    Aug 20, 2009:
    We're back from a 3800 mile road trip around the central US.  It was a fun trip and we saw it all..  It was good to see all of that Recovery Act money being put to use repairing the highways.

    May 4, 2009:
    It's been an uneventful Spring.  Much of this Summer will be spent at the pool.  Michael starts 6th grade at a year-round middle school this July.

    I just finished an all-nighter working TV production for reporting the elections.  Wow, what a night!
     

    July 20, 2008:
    This summer we are spending a couple of weeks in a cottage on a lake in Maine.  We're just relaxing -- fishing, canoeing, panning for gold, visiting my relatives.  Tami is continuing her flying lessions up here -- she just buzzed our cottage.

    and an uncoordinated new kitty named "Simon".  At the moment, Jo isn't too happy with Simon..

    We have a wonderful new kitty, named "Jo".

    Dec 20, 2007:
    Congrats to Sam and Dana!  Our kids are excited about having a new baby cousin.

    Dec 15, 2007:
    Happy holidays everyone!  As you can see, the kids are really growing up fast.  Little Sarah is now 2 years old (VERY 2 years old).  Matthew will be starting Kindergarten next Fall.  We have all sorts of fun things planned for 2008 -- be sure to revisit this site for details.

    Noc 7, 2007:
    Our part of the world is experiencing record breaking droughts.  Some nearby towns have only 50 days of water remaining.  Trees are starting to die.  Folks are starting to pray for a hurricane as we need about 20" of rain.  We only expect to get 3-4" all winter, so it may get interesting.

    Oct 31, 2007:
    Happy Holloween!  Don't eat too much candy.

    Sept 18, 2007:
    It's too hot to really enjoy camping trips in NC -- even in the mountains.  Canoeing is fun, but only if you can jump in to cool off.

    Aug 15, 2007:
    Very strange weather this year -- very dry with odd temperature swings.  Sarah and Robert had a really fun birthdays.

    July 5, 2007:
    We recently returned from a wonderful vacation in Northern California.  (See pictures in our Adventures section).  We visited San Francisco, Napa, and points north.  The kids are growing like weeds.
